Consider This before getting a Pup or Dog... Part 1...

Hey everyone…it’s Ms. Pam from Bar R Kennels…

Today let’s look at “Why You May Want a Pup or Dog”….

AKC and I have been in business and had a relationship for many, many years now. I want to share with you some things we think “YOU SHOULD CONSIDER BEFORE GETTING A DOG”!!!

Time flies, and your puppy will grow into a dog in no time. You should do some serious research and soul searching before making this most important decision.

Lets look at Finances…

Raising a pup is a big financial undertaking and certainly involves much more than just a one time fee.You must keep in mind the expenses that occur prior to bringing your precious baby home and after. Don’t forget that your pup is a 10-15 year commitment too. Proper care includes: food, vet visits, and supplies such as food bowls, collar, leash and of course toys.

Next on the list is caring for a puppy. It is not just a financial investment, but also an emotional and time-consuming/commitment. Getting a dog requires a lifestyle change. A dog, particularly a puppy, must receive care each and everyday. This means proper diet, grooming, exercise and vet visits.

Ask yourself these questions…

1.) Does my career and social life allow the time to raise and care for a dog?

2.) How many hours a day will my dog be left alone?

3.) If I cannot be home one evening, can I find someone else to walk, feed and play with my dog?
